In order of appearance:

Rune:
Princess Zelda’s young elvish lover who disappears after an attack by demons.

Princess Zelda:
Mother to Zelda. Still mourning the disappearance of her beloved Rune.

Little Zelda:
The daughter of Zelda and future princess of Hyrule. A sweet girl that cares about her mother.

Impa:
Nurse to the royal family and Link.

Ganon:
Leader of the demons, Ganon aims for the death of the royal family and control of the Triforce. His armies are slowly invading Hyrule and have already overtaken the borderlands.

Link:
Our intrepid hero. Under the employ of Gramps, Hyrule Castle’s gardener. Orphaned at an early age, he was raised by the nurse Impa.

The King of Hyrule:
Father to Zelda, the King of Hyrule is a fearsome but stubborn leader and warrior. Wishes his daughter would be less of a tomboy and more like a princess.

Tia:
A kind young woman Link meets on his quest to collect the pieces of the Triforce. Daughter of an innkeeper, she offers him a room for the night.

Grey:
On his quest Link has a chance encounter with fellow orphans Grey and his younger sister Pell who introduce him to their grandfather. The three get along well.

Pell:
On his quest Link has a chance encounter with fellow orphans Pell and her older brother Grey who introduce him to their grandfather, Jenard. The three get along well, though Pell seems to have taken a fancy to Link.

Jenard:
Grandfather to the orphans Grey and Pell. Takes a shine to Link after his grandkids introduce him.

Kana:
A mysterious elf who appears and offers Link her aid.
